God Bless The USA!

The kids love the 4th and this year it was even better because we partied on Saturday & Monday. We started with family breakfast @ Molly's , Yummy! Then the Stadium of Fire, our seats were pretty high so we didn't get burned by the stray fireworks. Monday the parade, thanks to Brittanie for staking out the front row seats! Afterwards, we had to go swimming to work off all the food at the BBQ. We ended the night with rootbeer floats & fireworks. (Utah fireworks this year) You can always tell how much fun we have, by the way my house looks, what a mess!

Allyssa & Kate got to have a sleepover at our house. It started off with a long game of Ponyopoly, they LOVE that game. We then went to Taco Time, one of their favorite places. Then off to the movie, How To Train Your Dragon, which was really cute. Afterward, the ice cream shoppe then home to watch a dvd. Grandma & Grandpa got tired so we turned the movie off at midnight. The next morning we got up at 5am - had plans to take them to Cracker Barrel but they didn't wake up until 10am! After playing outside we went to McDonalds then took them HOME. Thanks for playing with us, we love you!

Hawk Update
My friend Lu, who works at Hoogle Zoo said, The hawk is a Cooper's Hawk. They are Accipiters that actively prey on birds. A smaller Accipiter is the Sharp Shinned, but they look very similar except in size. The largest Accipiter is the Northern Goshawk, all are very aggressive, both while hunting and while raising chicks. That bird would never have been scared off of its prey!
Very Interesting, thanks Lu

Everyone has to eat~
This hawk has found our sparrow feeding grounds. I watched him chase the birds into our window then grab one in mid air. He then flew to a nearby tree, right outside another window, where I watched him eat the whole bird, even the feet! It was amazing, and when he was done he wiped his beak on the limb. I was able to capture it all with my camera, I even opened the window making noise and he just stayed there, 5 feet away, staring at me. No Fear
